Susanne Carmack

Susanne Carmack has been exhibiting art for over thirty-five years.  She has had over 30 solo shows of her work, and is represented in numerous corporate and commercial spaces in the United States, as well as many residential settings.

 

A graduate of the second class of women at the University of Virginia with a BA in the History of Art, and a minor in studio art, she is also an MFA graduate of the University of MD at College Park with a Master’s Degree in painting.

 

A recipient of two Maryland State Art Council Grants, and published in New American Paintings twice, she has received eleven residential fellowships at The Virginia Center of Creative Arts, two fellowships at the Ragdale Foundation in Lake Forest Illinois, along with many prizes and national recognitions.

 

A multimedia painter and printmaker, Carmack has had the opportunity to exhibit everything from the breadth of her oeuvre; original prints, constructions, mixed media paintings on canvas and panel, and work on paper.

 

She maintains a studio in Woodstock Georgia and works nearly every day.
