Gia was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina and now resides on Johns Island.
She had a career in film and television as well as with several large corporations prior to getting married. She did not discover her true talent and passion for oil painting until later in life when she found herself starting over and facing all the challenges that come along with it, but she was determined that this next chapter in her life was the perfect time to pursue her passion for painting.
Gia paints in an abstract and an impressionistic style and is a palette knife painter. She loves merging paint colors together, creating dimension and lots of texture, giving the painting an amazing visual comfort of imperfection. Each work of art is inspired by life and contains part of her story, her voice, and techniques. Her paintings are all one of a kind originals and are not reproduced or sold as prints.
She is a member of the American Impressionist Society, Oil Painters of America and has participated in the Kiawah Art Guild as well as numerous group shows and artist workshops.
