Shannon Meadows Works

Making art challenges and fascinates me. I reach for an essence of a subject, either of the human
condition (drawing/painting from life), plein air painting, or translating the mood from a
photograph. My goal is to inspire those who see my work to look at the world and find the beauty
inherent in daily life.
 
I grew up in Lexington, Kentucky, graduated from UK with a degree in Painting and Drawing, then recieved
a MFA from School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I taught in the foundations department of the Art
Institute of Atlanta for many years and am a lifelong learner.
