Jarvis

E. Jarvis is a Chinese artist. He was born in Ranju City, China on December 2, 1970. His formal name is Wang Jian Zu. His passion for art came around the age of 13 years old. He was accepted to Sibei College of Education in September 1989, majoring in Fine Art. During college, his professor Lee Wi became a very important mentor in his life.  He dedicates himself completely to paintings and spends time drawing artwork especially Contemporary and Abstracts. Jarvis’s style is very colorful and powerful focusing on heavy palette. He is influenced by Alphonse Mucha, Andy Warhol, Lucian Freud, Willem De Kooning and John Singer Sargent. Jarvis works in multiple media such as posters, limited editions and Giclee.

As his featured works are becoming famous, he exhibited his work in numerous international exhibitions as well. His collection of work can be found in many different countries including America, Europe, and Asia. Moreover, his paintings are represented in hundreds of corporate and private collections. 

 

ARTIST STATEMENT

The materials I like to paint are scenery, objects and nature. When I paint nature, I look for the things that stand out and what I want to express in my paintings. I like to have a plan of direction and scheme that makes my paintings come to life with an amazing finish.
